About Kreaturz

KREATURZ has spotted you.

My name is Kymil Jeneé, and I am a mixed-media artist, storyteller, and creature-maker working between Portland, OR and Los Angeles, CA.

Through acrylic paint, aerosols, sculpture, and an ever-growing collection of tactile materials, I build ecosystems for those who have always existed beyond the status quo.

KREATURZ is an ongoing world of handmade and digital companions that invite people to reconnect with the parts of themselves that were never meant to be standardized. Charmed by the otherworldly, I’ve never been particularly interested in making normal things.

Sometimes a little creepy, but loving most of all. Each creature belongs to a larger implied multiverse, where every collection is an ode to community and every being carries its own personality and lore.

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, and it turns out creatures have always made more sense to me. As a child, I was far more interested in the lore of outcasts and villainized creatures in media rather than the lives of protagonists. I loved the littlest details in practical sets and enjoyed watching retro horror films that made things that ooze look enchanting. Today, that same language continues to shape my practice.

I love creating with colors that pulse with electricity, life, and movement. I’m drawn to drips, spatters, and the juxtaposition of soft, delicate silhouettes against sharp and daggering features.

At its core, KREATURZ is a practice of divergence. I create companions for those whose brilliance lives within their complexities and the many ways they refuse to be simplified.

I hope people see themselves in these creatures, but I also hope they learn to see the creatures within themselves: their vulnerability, their power, and the possibility they represent.

✨ Your magic is in your rebellion. ✨
